Repurposed Vintage Chinese Brass Bowl Candle - Soft Sandalwood
A vintage Chinese brass bowl, its exterior decorated on one side with raised auspicious characters - most likely symbols of fortune and longevity - and on the other with a boldly cast dragon in relief, highlighted in silver. Hand-poured with Soft Sandalwood - warm, creamy and quietly grounding, with notes of sandalwood, bergamot, saffron, cinnamon and lily over a base of cedarwood, amber, patchouli and coconut.
Decorative brassware carrying dragons and auspicious symbols has been a feature of Chinese craft for centuries, made to bring good fortune into the home. This bowl carries that tradition with it. The characters sit proud of the surface in chunky, confident relief, and the dragon on the reverse is full of the kind of energy that takes real skill to capture in metal.
Wide and shallow at 12cm across, with three wicks, it burns slowly and fills a room. Once the candle has burned down, the bowl is yours to keep, display or use as it was originally intended.
Hand-poured in England using our natural soy, coconut and rapeseed wax blend. Phthalate-free fragrance. Vegan and cruelty-free. Every order plants a tree and removes ocean plastic.
